As Head of Design at Betfred i was responsible for the smooth running of over two hundred design related projects per week. These would be projects from various departments (Sports, Casino, Poker, etc) within Betfred or Betfred owned brands (Totesport, Bucky Bingo, Betfred Australia). The projects ranged from graphical promotional design, interface design, CRM, mobile, social, print and more.

In the two years that i was Head of Design the team grew from four to eight designers. I was responsible for recruitment and developing the team into more specialised sub-groups. There was two further designers at an agency that worked solely on Betfred design work (affiliate related), this was my responsibility to sign off their work, communicate design requirements and ensure consistency across the two teams.

Usability testing was the responsibility of myself and the design team, we regularly conducted user testing (Userzoom), A/B testing (Google A/B tests) and analysed click data (SmartFocus for email, Crazy Egg for web). This was all used as an analytical tool to increase the efficiency of our designs.
